Biography

Dr. Bieda has been teaching nurses in undergraduate and graduate programs for over 22 years. Dr. Bieda has over 45 years’ experience in Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and neonatal transport. She is certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and recently retired her certification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received national recognition in 2016 from the National Association of Neonatal Nurses as a recipient of the Navigator Award for consistently demonstrating the power of mentoring. She has presented nationally and internationally on Evidence Based Practice and reviews manuscripts for several journals, including Advances in Neonatal Care and the Journal of Nursing Regulation. Dr. Bieda has published many manuscripts and a book chapter: Reproductive Physiology in a textbook for Neonatal Advanced Practice Nurses. She has also written chapters in several Doctor of Nursing Practice Handbooks.
