Biography

Dr. Bora Ozkan is an Associate Professor of Finance at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, where he serves as Academic Director of MBA Programs. In this role, Dr. Ozkan provides strategic leadership for the MBA curriculum and program direction across modalities, ensuring a high-impact, skills-focused experience for graduate learners.

He joined the Fox School in 2014 from Tulane University, where he served as an adjunct lecturer of Economics, and Southeastern Louisiana University, where he was an adjunct lecturer of Accounting and Finance.

Dr. Ozkan’s research focuses on corporate finance, emerging markets real estate, FinTech, and business education innovation. His work has been published in outlets such as the International Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Business and Society, Management Research Review, and the Journal of Education for Business.

At Fox, he teaches courses including Financial Modeling, FinTech, and Corporate Finance at both undergraduate and graduate levels, incorporating experiential learning tools and industry practices into the curriculum. He is a frequent presenter at educational and industry conferences, including Bloomberg for Education and the Equity Markets Seminar.

Before entering academia, Dr. Ozkan was Director of International Marketing at Alexander & Hamilton, Inc., in New Orleans, where he led international marketing operations, credit reporting, and strategic expansion initiatives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Economics from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, and earned his master’s degrees in Financial Economics and Business Administration, as well as his Ph.D. in Financial Economics, from the University of New Orleans on a Dean’s Scholarship.
