Biography
Denise Donaghue, an Assistant Professor of Practice, teaches Business Communications (BA2196). Since joining the Fox School in 2015, she has been awarded and honored for teaching excellence. With a robust background in direct and digital marketing, her focus lies in linking academic theory to practical application. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking skills, equipping her students to thrive in the competitive business world. Beyond the classroom, Donaghue’s scholarly research explores nonprofit innovation and disruptive marketing. Her professional qualifications include dual certifications in digital marketing from American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute; VALUE Institute Certified Scorer from the Association of American Colleges and Universities; and Certification in Professional Development in Advertising and Public Relations from Villanova University. Before her role at Fox, Donaghue taught Freshman Writing at Neuman University where she also served as Pearson Education’s Faculty Advisor. Donaghue earned her Master of Arts in Education Leadership and PA Certification in Education Administration from Immaculata University and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Cabrini University. Prior to her university teaching, Donaghue led her own consulting business, conceptualizing, copywriting and producing marketing for B2B and consumer sectors including records management software, healthcare, real state, and insurance. In the international marketplace, Donaghue developed marketing strategies and materials for American Life Insurance Company (ALICO) of Wilmington, DE, which, during her consultancy, was the largest insurance company in the world. Her expertise in engaging clients from diverse cultural and national backgrounds enabled her to create impactful marketing materials that were utilized by ALICO’s team members around the world.
