Biography
Ira L. Rosen, CFEE joined the full-time faculty after serving, from 2005-2013, as an adjunct instructor and the program director for the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management’s award-winning Event Leadership Executive Certificate Program, a comprehensive events planning program designed to increase marketable skills and to prepare graduates for future success in a broad range of event planning careers.
In eight of the last eleven years, the Event Leadership Executive Certificate Program has won the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Gold Pinnacle Award as the Best Event Management Certificate Program..
From 1989 through 2018, Mr. Rosen served as president of Entertainment on Location Inc., a full-service event consulting company, based in New Jersey. He managed all business operations of the internationally recognized company, and worked with a diverse international client base.
His prior academic and industry experience includes administrative positions in Student Activities for Fairleigh Dickinson University and William Paterson College. He also was Director of Purchasing and Associate Producer of Special Events for Radio City Music Hall Productions.
Mr. Rosen is a Hall of Fame inductee of the International Festival & Events Association, from which he earned the Certified Festivals and Events Executive designation. In both 2017 and 2018 he received the School's Outstanding Service Award and in 2011, he received the the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award.
He earned a Master of Arts degree in Communications and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Montclair State University.
