Biography
Dr. Schwartz serves as an Associate Professor of Instruction and Program Director for the Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs in the College of Engineering. She teaches upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering and intrapreneurship.
As Program Director, Dr. Schwartz provides strategic academic and administrative leadership in support of student success and program development. She leads curriculum development initiatives, coordinates faculty efforts, oversees institutional reporting, and ensures compliance and continuous improvement through ETAC ABET accreditation processes.
Dr. Schwartz brings more than 30 years of experience spanning business, science, and engineering across both industry and academia. She is deeply committed to people development, organizational growth, and lifelong learning. Throughout her industry career, she earned recognition as a results-driven leader valued for her technical expertise, business acumen, analytical rigor, creative problem-solving, multicultural competence, and ability to guide teams and initiatives toward sustained impact. Earlier in her academic and research career, she authored nine peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed a book review, and delivered eighteen conference presentations and invited lectures, reflecting contributions to scientific and technical advancement.
